Technical Education at your school is a partnership between your school and a number of participating companies in your area.It’s carefully designed to provide you with the basic classroom knowledge you’ll need, and with the practical, on-the-job experiences in a live work environment.

As a construction student, you’ll spend much of your week in the classroom, earning the academic credits you’ll need for high school graduation.You’ll also spend numerous hours in your school’s construction laboratory, learning the building concepts behind today’s jobs.

You’ll also gain basic hands-on skills, including shop safety and proper use of hand tools.The construction curriculum includes actual on-the-job experience, too, with participating business.Your experiences will typically be part-time during and after school.

When you graduate from high school, you’ll be well prepared with the academic and technical skills to enter the workplace at full-time entry-level technician.Or you can pursue further education at a college or university in the technological field of your choice.
